Dividend, Utah

General Overview
Dividend, Utah is a ghost town located a couple minutes east of Eureka, Utah. It is located just off of Highway 6. You can't easily see it from the highway, but you kind of just have to go with it. You might be able to see the water towers from the highway (pictured below).

What To Do
You can spend about an hour or even more going through the building foundations and checking everything out. There are quite a few buildings along with the aforementioned water towers. You can climb up on top of those too. One other thing to note is that there is a massive hole in the ground located near the parking lot. When I went, I was unable to see the bottom, even when I stuck my phone over the edge to take a video.

That massive hole used to be a mineshaft. It goes straight down for over 1,200 feet. The second link I include at the bottom provides some great background and history on the town.

If you are in the area, it is definitely something worth stopping by!!! Silver City, is another ghost town nearby and the Tintic Standard Reduction Mill is about 20 minutes east. That mill is what they used to refine and process all of the ore that came from Dividend.

Hole picture. Notice the little memorial. Apparently some kids died in it a couple months before we arrived there.

Final Thoughts
This ranks in one of the cooler ghost towns I've been to. 100% worth checking out. There is a lot more here than what you originally expect. There are plenty more buildings in the town area (red box in photo above) that I didn't even know were there.
