Welcome, dude

This site is not mobile optimized yet. Too bad.

This is probably pretty important to read and will help you navigate the website better and understand how I chose to organize things

This website is a work in progress and constantly being updated as I have free time, so if you check back in a couple days I'll have added a lot more. Hoping to add more photos and entires on all the locations. There's a fuck ton.

I started compiling a list of locations in Utah back in March of 2016 when I was still in high school. Since then, I have added to my list every so often.

I have chosen to document places that not every person has gone to or heard of before. Obviously, you aren't going to find something like Moab or Zions on here; everyone has heard of those places and it would be stupid to include them. Some of these locations you have probably been to before, but I'd wager that most of these you haven't been to.

First order of business, I try to use coordinates wherever I can because that is the best way to get an exact location for some of these places. Grey coordinates (like this: 40.369159, -112.747238) signify a location that is not exact or a location I have not verified. Orange coordinates (like this: 40.369159, -112.747238) signify a location that I have personally been to and verified or has been verified by a reputable source, which I will try and link to in most cases. All coordinates should link directly to a google map pin in another window so you can see where exactly it is. You're welcome.

I will try my best to include helpful photos, links, and/or relevant screenshots of things for each location. All photos are my own unless otherwise specified. Again, I will try and include a source to them if I can. If not, please don't sue me. Sound good?

There are a lot of ghost towns on this list because I think they are super cool. I'm not here to give you a history lesson on them. So if you really want a history lesson, I'll try and include a link or two if I feel like it. I'm just here to tell you what you'll see and if it's cool or not.

I have not yet been to all of these places, but I am trying my best to go to as many as I can. Under the Locations tab, where all the locations are listed, sites that specify a visit date in the title after you click on it mean that I have personally been to this place.

Occasionally I will include driving times or a distance for some of these places. Back when I originally compiled my list, I lived in Draper. Obviously distances and driving times from Draper aren't relevant to everyone, so I'll try to do them from Salt Lake City or some other city that is nearby the destination.

If I feel like going through the effort to do it, I may also include an archive link to things in the chance that the websites I include may no longer exist in the future.

I guess I probably should say it, but yadda yadda abandoned mines and caves are dangerous and you shouldn't go blah blah blah risk of death. Honestly just go at your own risk, bring proper equipment (I'll probably include info on what gear is recommended or something), and just be smart. I'm not going to be that guy and tell you "omg why would you even think of going there the mine is old and could collapse and kill you or something," but like I said, just be smart. If I have any special insight on some mines, you can bet I'll include it.
