The Beehive Kilns and Frisco, Utah
Frisco, Utah
General Overview
The Beehive Kilns are charcoal kiln structures built by the Frisco Mining Company in 1877 back in the day when Frisco was a booming mining town. In order to get to them, you pass through the old ghost town of Frisco.

Frisco is located just over 3 and a half hours southwest of SLC. For history on the town, check the links at the bottom.

What To Do
You will be able to just drive right up to them. You can walk around the kilns and take pictures. After you walk through all the kilns, you can go and check out the old ghost town of Frisco as well as the mining area. The mining area is quite exansive and there are tons of scattered buildings and mining equipment left out.

I've scoped out the area of Frisco on maps and tried to find most of the structures of areas where they area clustered. When I visit, I can give more detailed versions of these on each of the buildings or building clusters.

I will also link a map at the bottom with pins to all of these locations I'm marking below. You can also click on the map images and it should pull up a google maps link.

Other Things To Note
The road there is not paved. So if it is wet or snowy, 4x4 recommended.
Final Thoughts
The kilns are some of the best surviving structures in the whole town. With so many buildings and things, you could spend a while here going through all the mining ruins.
