Thistle, Utah
Near Salem, Utah
General Overview
Thistle is a submerged ghost town. The main attraction is half underwater. It's by far the most unique ghost town you'll see. A 1983 landslide caused the flooding and became the most costly landslide in history (over $200 million). So this town was only recently abandoned compared to others that have been abandoned for nearly 100 years or more.

What To Do
You'll just pull right off the highway. There are two spots to Thistle. There is the main building, which I've linked above already. Then there are some more building foundations with graffiti.

I would not recommend bringing your swimming trunks to this location.

Final Thoughts
It's a great little stop for about 15-20 minutes and it's not far off any main roads so it's totally worth stopping by if you are in the area.
